Video stream

We need video of each SCO in scope for the same period as the transaction data, with a clear view of the scan area. We install an AI Box in the store. It records each SCO's camera and uploads the video to our cloud storage automatically, so you do not need to export anything yourself.

How it works:

  1. The AI Box connects to each SCO's camera over the store network (RTSP).
  2. It records continuously until the matching clips are cut and uploaded.
  3. The box cuts one clip per transaction and uploads only those clips to our secure cloud storage — as soon as each transaction event arrives if you're integrating the REST API (Option B), or once that day's CSV files arrive if you're sending CSV (Option A).
  4. Once a transaction's clip is uploaded, the matching recording is no longer needed and is cleared to free up space.

What we need from you:

ItemDetails
Space and powerOne power socket near the network switch or SCO area
NetworkA wired connection on the same network as the cameras
Internet uploadOutbound HTTPS (port 443) to our cloud and storage; no inbound access or public IP needed. Upload volume depends on the number of transactions
Camera accessThe RTSP URL given in Store and SCO information for each SCO, with credentials if the URL doesn't already include them — or permission for us to install a camera if an SCO doesn't have one
Camera viewThe scan area clearly visible; at least 720p and 15 fps
ClockPOS and network time kept in sync, so video and transaction times match

The box uses your store's opening hours (see Store and SCO information) to limit recording and upload to them.

The box has limited storage, so the sooner we receive your transaction data, the better. Integrating the REST API (Transaction data, Option B) is fastest, since clips are cut as transactions happen. If you're sending CSV files (Option A) instead, please don't hold data back and send a whole week at once — the exact delivery schedule is still being finalized (see Transaction data). Let us know if your IT team needs the box's network details in advance.
